Things look a bit different around here. Let us explain…
As the challenges facing people and the planet grow, so too must the way we communicate our work. That’s why Tree Aid has refreshed its brand, to better reflect the people, purpose and impact at the heart of what we do.
Our mission remains the same: working with communities across Africa, harnessing the power of trees to restore ecosystems and support lasting livelihoods.
Why has Tree Aid refreshed its brand now?
After nearly four decades of growth and scaling up our impact, we have updated our brand to better reflect the organisation we are today and the work we do.
We also wanted a brand that helps more people connect with our mission. Research showed that our previous branding sometimes made it harder for new audiences to understand what we do and why it matters.
This refresh gives us a clearer, more confident way to share our work, inspire support and showcase the impact of trees for people and the planet.
Has Tree Aid changed its mission or focus?
No, our mission remains the same: working with communities across Africa to harness the power of trees and support lasting livelihoods.
Together, we’ve helped grow over 40 million trees, work with more than 3.8 million people, and restore over 260,000 hectares of land. The refreshed brand simply helps us share this impact more clearly and reach more people.
Does this affect the work Tree Aid does with communities?
No, our work with communities remains the same. We continue to work hand in hand with people across Africa to restore land, strengthen livelihoods and harness the power of trees. The brand refresh doesn’t change what we do on the ground — it helps us communicate that work more clearly and confidently.
Is Tree Aid still working in the same countries?
Yes. Tree Aid continues to work across Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Senegal. Our long-term commitment to the communities we partner with remains unchanged.
What’s changed in the Tree Aid brand?
We’ve refreshed how Tree Aid looks and feels. This includes a new logo and updated design across our website and communications. These changes help us present our work in a clearer, more consistent way and better reflect the organisation we are today.
What does the new look represent?
The creative concept for the new brand is about people and trees thriving, together. The logo mark symbolises the core elements of Tree Aid: trees, people and growth. It represents our belief in practical, community led solutions — and our commitment to tackling some of the biggest challenges facing people and the planet.
Tree Aid has grown in scale, impact and ambition. Our refreshed brand reflects that progress, while staying rooted in our values and approach. It helps us share the stories of the communities we work with, highlight the impact of trees, and connect with more people who want to be part of lasting change.
Will I see this new look everywhere straight away? How much has it all cost?
We are approaching the project with sustainability and cost effectiveness in mind. You’ll start to see the new look across our website and communications, but the change will happen gradually.
A highly regarded creative agency called forpeople kindly did our brand project free of charge. They gifted us weeks of their time and are also making monetary donations to Tree Aid for three years as a business partner.
Are you throwing away a lot of materials?
We will replace materials as and when we need and use up old copies. So, for a while you will likely see some old and some new as we make use of current resources. Nothing else in our approach to sustainability in communications will change.
Does this change how I can support Tree Aid?
No, you can continue to support Tree Aid in the same ways as before. The brand refresh doesn’t affect how you donate, fundraise or get involved — it simply reflects the organisation you already support.
Does this affect how donations are used?
No. Donations continue to be used to support our programmes and partners on the ground. The refreshed brand does not change how funds are allocated or how we deliver impact.
Will I notice changes in how Tree Aid communicates with me?
You may notice a refreshed look and clearer messaging, but our commitment to open, honest and respectful communication remains the same. We’ll continue to share updates, stories and impact in ways that put people and communities first.
How can I be part of this next chapter?
There are many ways to be part of what comes next for Tree Aid. You can support our work by donating, fundraising, partnering with us, or simply by sharing our story and staying connected. However you choose to get involved, you’ll be supporting communities across Africa to harness the power of trees and build a more resilient future.
